360 Excavator Driver 8-ton CPCS Gatwick Airport £17 per hour CIS UMB 8 weeks 47.5 hours 4 week job This job is for a 360 Excavator Driver 8-ton CPCS to work in Gatwick Airport in the air side areas on a new build construction sites for Hays on a contract basis Your new company You will be working for a contractor that has been awarded an 4-week contract to construct a large complex building project for Gatwick Airport Limited Your new role This 4-week assignment starts on Monday 10th February 2020 and you will be operating an 8-ton Excavator to load and unload lorries, excavator pit & ducts, foundations for piling, perform remedial works to foundations on the PQ You will be working in a live airport environment with multiple plant movements with the associated risks. When there is no plant driving you will be required to assist ground workers. What you'll need to succeed You will have a CPCS card for a 360 Excavator (under 10 ton) and hold the relevant NVQ in plant operations. You will also need photo ID, proof of NI, proof of address, a clean criminal record and pass a reference check from a previous civil engineering company. You will be working within a very compact area and as such must have the ability to follow excavation plans closely and ensure health and safety is adhered to always. What you'll get in return You attend a formal Gatwick Induction and be issued a Hays airport pass and paid £17 p/h (CIS umbrella method) working 47.5 hours per week Monday to Thursday 07:00-17:00. There is no provision for travel or accommodation to be paid to Hays workers. Free parking is provided on off site and transfer to site.
