Registered Children's Home Manager

Daytime Healthcare are working alongside a well established Children's Home who are currently looking for a Registered Children's Home Manager to join their friendly team As the Registered Children's Home Manager you will be responsible for the range of activities involved in manager a children's home reflecting the social care common inspection framework and working in line with the Children's Home Regulations 2015 & Quality Standards. Ensuring that the safety and well-being of each child is at the heart of everyday practice in the home. To ensure that all staff members understand their roles, responsibilities and expectations of the company. To establish excellent professional relationships with commissioners and local authority social works, their managers and placement teams. To take the lead responsibility for the promotion of safeguarding and the welfare of the children within the home, making sure that the educational, physical health and emotional well-being needs are identified and met. To establish a day to day culture of working practice that achieves the best outcomes for the children in a safe and secure environment. To ensure that activities are planned, creative, stimulating and provide enjoyment and fun for the children. Requirements: Must have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare and, be either working towards or be prepared to undertake Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare. Prior experience in residential children's homes, including at least a year with staff management responsibility. The ability to deliver at least 'Good' in the home's Ofsted inspection. Must have a good understanding of the regulatory framework relevant to the provision of residential services for children and young people (Children's Home Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
