Overview

Chief Architect - Server Performance / Cambridge / Competitive salary MicroTECH Global has partnered with a globally well-known business who are looking for a Chief Architect - Server Performance to be based in their Cambridge office. They are looking for a hands-on professional that can contribute to defining and implementing future server platforms. You will be responsible for a variety of roles from defining the platform's software/hardware technical specifications to debugging the platform to closing the loop to feed the learnings to CPU and software teams. The individual will study future trends and inflexion points in the Arm server world, from both hardware and software workload's point of view, and translate those insights into new architectures, hardware/software co-optimization, prototypes, and work with internal/external partners to realize the vision. The scope and impact of this role covers the future generations of Arm server platforms that power HPC, Cloud, Data Center etc. To be considered for this role you must be comfortable working in a team setting and interfacing with planning, marketing, design, software and hardware teams. BS, MS or PhD in CS, EE or related computing discipline. Good understanding of CPU, IP, SOC micro-architecture, especially Core and Memory. Expert-level knowledge on C and assembly language. Expert-level knowledge on server SOC architecture, especially Arm server. Proven track record of taking initiative and driving projects to completion - results orientation.
