We are excited to be recruiting for the role of Senior Operational Risk Manager on a 12-month fixed term contract on either a full-time or part-time (0.8 minimum) basis reporting to Chief Risk Officer. This is a strategic role in an exciting time leading the maturing journey of the second line of defence (2LoD), including enhancing analysis and insight of the operational risk landscape to influence management and mitigation of risk when outside of appetite and/or control/resource deployment where efficiencies can be achieved or to improve the risk profile of TBUK. Other responsibilities below: Contribute to the development of the Group Operational Risk Management (ORM) framework and policies from the Bank’s UK perspective. Develop and implement a local ORM strategy that is robust and proportionate, contains clear objectives and milestone deliverables, and has the support of local and group stakeholders. Oversee the continued development of local ORM framework by utilising relevant financial services ORM knowledge and experience to develop and deploy the tools, processes and methodologies to conform to Group and regulatory requirements and to enable the business to take ownership of risk management. To deputise for the Chief Risk Officer on operational risk matters as required. Triodos Bank is proud of its culture, ethos and ability to make a positive change in society. The role holder will have extensive, up to date and relevant (Financial Services) work experience within the Operational Risk Management field and/or appropriate audit experience. Ideally you will have experience of people management, being well versed in performance management, personal and team motivation, staff development, training, coaching & mentoring. The role holder will have strong up to date knowledge of risk management tools and processes, with relevant up to date knowledge of regulations and best practice. You will also possess an ability to create clear, realistic expectations and are willing to roll your sleeves up to get things done while maintaining appropriate independence as part of the 2LoD.
