Overview

We are currently recruiting for our client based in Trafford, the company offer a broad range of services and products within the packaging sector with their primary focus being Waste, Industrial Packaging and sustainability . The Shift Supervisor is accountable and responsible for; Reporting to the Factory Manager liaising frequently on site matters, operating as part of the Business Operations team. All staffing members on site from warehousing to Supervisory - this includes the running of daily production meetings and organisation of staff rota (day and night shifts). Overlooking goods in/ out and the process department solving any issues that may arise. Enforcing and managing all company policies covering; Health and Safety, training, timekeeping and adherence to the company waste permit. Duties; Daily update meetings with the Operations manager to plan daily production schedules. Oversee all shift production and recycling operations to ensure timely completion of works. Allocate operatives to tasks, ensuring the work is carried out consistently. End-of-shift reporting; productivity reporting. Ensuring Compliance; PPE and safe-working requirements at all times in line with H&S. Holiday planning of shift operatives to ensure correct staffing levels Enforcing policies regarding absence, smoking, mobile phones, drugs and alcohol etc. The working hours for this position will be 7am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday . The rate of pay is negotiable between £25-30K depending on current level of experience. Certifications required; FLT Counterbalance Health and Safety training (basic) Microsoft packages Paperwork processes Preferable; ISO 9001 awareness Waste permit awareness NIBOSSH Certificate
