Overview
This Senior Accounts role is with a firm of accountants and therefore requires someone with recent experience of working within Public Practice. You will be involved with a range of clients ensuring that work is completed to a high standard. You should be committed to a career within Professional Practice and take pride in knowing that your efforts contribute to the success and development of the clients, the firm, yourself and your colleagues. In this role you will: • Prepare year end accounts for a range of SMEs • Finalise accounts • Complete Tax computations and file returns • Prepare detailed covering letter for inclusion with accounts sent to clients • Review or preparation of Bookkeeping, VAT and Payroll • Resolve queries as required for clients and colleagues • Identify and highlight areas for developing accounts as appropriate • Start to finish preparation of accounts from time to time • Assist the Manager with ad hoc project work for clients • Assists junior staff and the broader team as required You should: • Have recent experience working for a firm(s) of accountants • Be committed to a career within Professional Practice • Enjoy working with a variety of clients, delivering high quality service and contributing to the development of their business • Be confident in the use of MS Word and Excel • Be familiar with accounting • Relevant accounting qualification may be an advantage Rekroot (UK) ltd is a specialist recruitment business operating in the Professional Practice Accounting sector and I cannot consider applicants without previous and recent experience of such.
