Overview
Howarth Morris are looking to recruit a Finalist/Newly Qualified Management Accountant for a £50m t/o manufacturing business with multiple sites across the UK. This is a brilliant opportunity for any accountant looking for a broad and varied role with exposure to both Commercial and Cost Accounting working within a dynamic manufacturing setting. Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a key hire for the business and one that will play a pivotal role providing insightful analysis to support commercial decision making. Key Responsibilities Accurate and timely preparation of month/annual management accounts Preparation of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis Preparation of weekly & monthly reporting including P&L /Balance sheet Posting of month end journals, prepayments and accruals Assist in the completion of the annual budget and reforecasts Variance Analysis with full commentary Monthly detailed analysis of turnover and margin Approving and processing payment runs Quarterly VAT Returns Support internal stakeholders, providing finance services to production and operations Work closely with operations and production to ensure efficient communication Project work as directed by the FC Preparation of audit schedules for annual external audit Ad hoc work as driven by company requirements Candidate Requirements CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified or Finalist Educated to degree level or equivalent Manufacturing/ costings experience Full end to end Management accounts Systems implementation experience advantageous Hands on approach Excellent analytical skills Advanced Excel/IT Skills Howarth Morris A leading North West based Finance and HR Recruitment Consultancy.
