Overview
Rotables, a Company of ST Engineering, are looking for a motivated and committed person to join the team as a Warehouse Operative. The company is a major provider of component maintenance services to airlines in Europe and throughout the world. The Warehouse Operative role will suit a personable and capable self-starter, who is able to manage and prioritise his/her workload and time effectively. The candidate must have a keen eye for detail and consistently produce good quality and accurate work without much supervision. The candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills. The role is approximately 70% office based and 30% warehouse, therefore office IT skills are required. The Warehouse Operative works on a rostered shift pattern covering 24/7/365 for the following tasks: Goods receipt: To operate all routine warehouse activities as required; To receive serviceable and unserviceable components into the stock. To complete all goods receipt and necessary receiving inspections. To log and report any receiving discrepancies as necessary To raise repair orders for received components: Raising repair orders on the day of receipt of the u/s component or to advise the team leader, material control, and others as necessary, if this is not complete. Ensuring U/S components are sent to the correct repair vendor in accordance with current vendor management database and in accordance with relevant contracts and agreements. Identify any out of contract, out of scope or otherwise rechargeable components and log accordingly. Dispatch and Shipping of components: Dispatch of serviceable components to customers and to branch stock. Dispatch of unserviceable components to repair vendors. Ensure that components for shipment are correctly packed and shipped promptly and correctly Ensure dangerous goods regulations and requirements are met. Customer Service: To support customer service activities in office hours. To provide first line customer service out of office hours, including To action and record customer demands in accordance with contractual requirements. To source and place orders for out of stock components in accordance with ST Engineering purchasing policy and finance mandates. To identify and arrange appropriate logistics for delivery to the customer. Advising the customer and repair agents of shipping details of components promptly after dispatch General: To work to ARL Standard Operating Procedures at all times (training provided). To hold IATA Dangerous Goods approval (training provided). To hold a full current Driving License. To carry out any other tasks assigned by the Operations Management /GM. The shift pattern for a Warehouse Operative is: 0700-1900 for 4 days, followed by 4 days off, then 1900-0700 for 4 nights, then 4 nights off. The successful candidate must have GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent), ideally 3 years warehousing experience and be competent at using Microsoft packages and the internet. A clean driving license is also required. Experience in aviation, customer service, logistics and material control are all desirable as well as having worked a shift rota. Salary will depend on candidates experience.
