Assistant Shop Manager Location: Dundee. Salary: £16,296 per annum (Pro rata for part time). Contract: 15 hours per week, Monday to Saturday (Working 2 days from 6), permanent. Are you experienced in working a busy retail environment, and looking for your next challenge or step into leadership? We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Assistant Manager to join our Dundee store. Working alongside the Shop Manager, together you will be responsible for the successful running of our Dundee store. You work to ensure our Dundee branch is a profitable, customer focussed shop, that meets the aims and supports the vision of the future for Sense Scotland. Deputising for the Shop Manager, you will ensure the smooth running of the shop during their absence. Leading on the accurate processing of any financial transactions, the delivery of excellent customer service on the shop floor and managing the stock room to ensure that our stores are merchandised to reflect current market trends. You will encourage the whole shop team to share any ideas, think to the future and contribute towards the success of the store, to allow us to reach the stores financial target. We rely on support by a dedicated team of volunteers, on a daily basis within our retail outlets and we couldn't run our shops without them. Together with the retail manager you will create a shop that is focal point on the high street for Sense Scotland, leading on our image and reputation, and help us raise vital funds that allows us to build on the amazing work we deliver across Scotland. This role might be for you if: • You have experience gained from working in a shop environment. • You can use your initiative for positive results. • You have a good understanding of financial and numerical information and have experience of cash handling. • Can you motivate, lead and inspire a team to achieve results • You are a confident manager who can support staff and volunteers working within the shop • You excel in delivering outstanding customer service, and are experienced in a customer facing role • You are confident in using IT skills, and comfortable working with a variety of IT packages Closing date for application is Tuesday 10th March 2020, with interviews to follow.
