Quality Engineer Salary: £30K-40K Dependant on experience Hours: Mon-Thurs 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-2pm I'm working with a global client, supporting their search to find a Quality Engineer to be based from their growing office. The client you will be working for are a market leader in the automotive industry. Having been established for a number of years and with offices across the globe, they are a stable and forward-looking organisation who continuously strive to develop and improve. In this role, the Quality Engineer will be trained and developed within: APQP processes. Learning how to control and coordinate customer quality approval submissions (PPAP/PSW/AAR etc.) TS16949 and ISO14001 Management systems. Main Responsibilities as Quality Engineer: You will promote the continuous improvement of systems and processes throughout the company. Controlling and co-ordinating the company's applications and approvals while ensuring the companies continued audit success. Conducting internal audits. Contribute to the ongoing development of internal systems and procedures to improve product quality and reduce quality costs within the company. Acting as the voice of the customer within the company and make appropriate judgements on quality matters on behalf of the customer. To lead problem solving activities and promote the application of structured problem-solving tools (8D working and Practical Problem Solving). Ensuring that investigations for customer quality concerns are timely, involve the appropriate staff, determine true root cause and have appropriate countermeasures developed. Ensuring effective communication to customers in all aspects of quality related activities. Ensuring all customer expectations for communication and problem responses are met including timely use of customer communication portals. Promoting close contact with shop floor operations from the quality function and strong awareness of internal process concerns and corrective actions. Promoting the application of single point lessons and the sharing of problem countermeasures across the business to maximise the benefit of lessons learned and drive proactive quality improvements. Participating with visits to our customer's sites and customer visits while building strong working relationships with the appropriate key customer contacts. Experience and Skills They Are Looking For: Positive 'can do' attitude. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. 6 months to 3 years' experience Good customer service skills.
