Overview
I am currently supporting a growing manufacturing business in Essex who are seeking a well-rounded and driven Production & Materials Planner to join them at a very exciting time in their business. The role: You will oversee all aspects of production and materials planning within a busy manufacturing environment. The business are going from strength to strength with increased year on year sales, but need a more strategic outlook on planning to ensure that things are being planned/scheduled accurately and effectively, as they continue to grow. You will be responsible for the BOM within the company, as well as liaising with various people across the business - so the stakeholder management side of this role is very important. Some of the key responsibilities for the Production & Materials Planner will involve: Maintaining, improving and taking full ownership of production planning and scheduling within the business. Materials planning Communicating with stakeholders across the business - particularly with production and purchasing teams. Ownership of the company's BOM (Bill of Materials) Supplier management The ideal candidate for the Production & Materials Planner role will have the following background: A strong production planning and/or materials planning background Must have worked in a manufacturing environment. A forward-thinker, who is very well organised and has a strategic outlook on planning Good stakeholder management skills Committed to grow and develop within a business that offer good long term prospects for progression.
