Clinical Fellow ST3/Locum Specialty Doctor in GiM, RBSUH (Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton) Fixed term full time post from now until 4th August 2020 We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual at ST3 level or above, with solid GiM skills to join a substantial Infectious Diseases team in Brighton, providing day to day care of in-patients with suspected and confirmed COVID-19 infection. The ideal candidate will be a doctor with recent experience in GiM or Acute Medicine with or without another general medical speciality such as Respiratory Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology etc. While this is a service post designed to provide additional in-patient support in this exceptional period of high demand on our healthcare services, it is anticipated that the post will also provide significant experiential learning opportunities in relation to clinical leadership, clinical decision making, diagnostic problem solving and logistics. The environment and existing staffing are that of a professorial Infectious Diseases Unit and there will be numerous informal opportunities for teaching and learning. This would be an exciting and formative opportunity for someone seeking to consolidate clinical skills in GiM, diagnostic and logistic problem-solving, who would like to contribute to the collective effort in managing an unprecedented challenge to our health services.
