Overview
Senior Healthcare Assistant Our client based near Wheathampstead is looking for a Senior Healthcare Assistant to support their elderly residents. The beautiful property is home to 25 elderly residents with Dementia. Location: Welwyn Garden City, AL8 Hours: Full time, 40 hours Salary: £9.50 per hour - £10.50 per hour dependent on experience Role Type: Permanent Requirements for a Senior Healthcare Assistant As a Healthcare Assistant you will work with the team, ensuring residents care is provided in line with company policy and legislation. Providing families and friends support as required in difficult situations whilst always being kind and compassionate about the residents in your care. Key Responsibilities as a Senior Healthcare Assistant • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in healthcare • Experience of working within elderly/dementia care • In line with company policy and legislative requirements, assist the management team with the administration and medication records • Champion residents' safety and dignity • Provide strong support and leadership to the team • Deliver person-centred care in line with individual Care Plans • Collaborate with other team members and external agencies to achieve person-centred support plans The ideal Senior Healthcare Assistant • NVQ2 in Health and Social Care or higher • Senior Carer / experienced Healthcare Assistant looking to take the next step to further your career • 2 years’ paid experience in care minimum • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Right to work in the UK • Person-centred care experience • Attention to detail and accuracy within administrative skills and computer literacy. • Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service • Must be able to provide 5 years of satisfactory references pertinent to the role Additional Details Benefits: Free Parking, 28 days holiday inc Bank Holidays.
