With a Care Quality Inspection Rating of “Good”, it’s an exciting time to join our team We are currently looking for a Senior Extra Care & Support Assistant to join our team at Miners Court in Redruth. You will gain hands-on experience at our supported living facility consisting of 64 flats with 24 hour on-site care, ensuring residents have their individual needs met and their quality of life and independence is maximised. The Role As a Senior Extra Care & Support Assistant, you will provide an excellent care and support service to our residents at Miners Court. Acting as a shift leader, you will provide guidance for team members and ensure employees and visitors have access to the building. You will respond to any changes quickly and remain calm under pressure, acting decisively and diplomatically. About You To join us as a Senior Extra Care & Support Assistant, you will need: - A diploma and/or NVQ Level 2, ideally Level 3, qualification in Health and Social Care (or the willingness to gain this) - Great communication skills - A caring and empathetic approach - A positive attitude This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week on a two week rolling rota, including evening and weekend shifts. This will include being on-call for one week in five. These posts are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
