Are you available immediately and looking for the next challenge in your career? Hampshire County Council are currently recruiting for a Domestic / General Assistant based in Southampton to start as soon as possible on a 3 month temporary contract As a Domestic / General Assistant , your duties will include:- Providing a high standard cleaning service Maintaining the cleanliness of domestic areas within given timescales Undertaking other housekeeping duties, as required, to ensure cleanliness of domestic areas Ensuring a safe working environment through good working practice and adherence to COSHH Maintaining an awareness of Health and Safety policies and procedures and apply them in day-to-day duties Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience The ability to work alone and as part of a team and understand the need for contribution and flexibility Stamina and ability to undertake physically demanding tasks Excellent cleaning skills and attention to detail Experience and knowledge of cleaning Good customer care skills Time-management skills Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience Relevant qualifications or certificates Experience of mechanical cleaning equipment (e.g. buffers) Willingness to help team members, including inducting new staff Additional Information:- The role of Domestic / General Assistant is a 3 month temporary position to start as soon as possible The working hours are 0730 - 1330, 30 hours per week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday The hourly rate on the role is £9.00 This role is subject to a Criminal Record background check Connect2Hampshire, part of Hampshire & Kent Commercial Services LLP, is an equal opportunities Employment Agency & Business and positively encourages applications from all suitably qualified and eligible candidates.
