We’re seeking suitable staff cover to work at our Care Homes to look after people of 65 and over, some of whom have dementia. It’s a challenging time for our care home residents, and if you’re available now/soon then you can get paid to make a big difference C&C has a longstanding Bank scheme, providing work on a shift by shift basis to Care Assistants, Domestic staff and Administrators. We are now growing the scheme to make sure we are able to fully support our residents in the long term, come what may. The offer Our Care Assistant salary is £17,750 per annum for 37 hours, including paid breaks (equivalent to £10.04 per hour worked). Shifts last for 12 hours and 20 minutes three days per week and additional shifts are available. We can be flexible to accommodate other lengths of shift, for example covering our busiest times. Whilst currently we are looking for people to work casual hours, we also have full and part-time permanent roles available. A comprehensive induction and training will be given. Your role as a Care Assistant You will help to deliver a high-quality service to residents at one or more of our care homes in Teddington, Kew and Swiss Cottage. You will support residents with their physical care and personal hygiene needs, ensuring that their independence, privacy and dignity are preserved and developed wherever possible. About you You will need: - Good communication skills - Basic literacy and numeracy skills - To be compassionate and patient - Ideally some experience in a caring industry, for example hospitality or schools - To pass our DBS check It would be even better if you have previous experience within a care environment, providing personal care or knowledge of dementia.
