Management Accountant | Chesterfield | Up to £38,000 | Flexi Time If you're at the stage where you're coming to the end of your CIMA / ACA / ACCA exams or you're newly qualified and looking for long-term progression, it can be a tough decision whether to join a business that has a large finance team or whether to move in to an SME where you'll be given a broader role. This opportunity with you give the best of both. You'll be working in a smaller sub-team of five people that forms part of a large finance function; giving you strong exposure in your role while still maintaining opportunities to progress your career in the group finance function in the medium to long term. The Finance Manager is open minded about your experience to date. You could be looking to make your first move out of practice or working in industry and looking to join a business that can offer progression over the next 3-5 years. You'll also receive a great benefits package which includes: Salary up to £38,000 10% bonus scheme with a strong track record of paying in full 10% employer pension contribution Flexibility with hours / working from home Time back for any overtime worked at month-end / year-end THE ROLE Preparation of management accounts packs for a large division which is part of the group function Provide detailed analysis and commentary on board packs, highlighted any risks and opportunities Ownership for month-end process (you'll need to be hands on with accruals, prepayments, journal posting) Mentoring and supervising the Assistant Accountants in the team Budgeting and forecasting with analysis in to any variances Supporting non-finance budget holders with any queries they have YOUR EXPERIENCE CIMA / ACCA / ACA Qualified or latter stages of study Either making your first move out of practice or strong management accounting background in industry Distinct Recruitment Privacy Policy
