Dean Healthcare is the leading Health and Social Care Agency in the South West and would like to invite you to be a part of our ever-growing success We are currently seeking experienced and motivated support workers to join our team at a busy home in Yate, catering for 7 male residents requiring either 1:1 or 2:1 support. Our service users have learning disabilities as well as autism, epilepsy and two also have 'fragile X’. All service users present challenging behaviour, both physical and verbal, as such we require staff with similar experience who have a pro-active, calming approach. As a support worker here, you will assist our service users with personal care and day to day house duties, as well as promoting their independence and individual interests, including activities such as cycling, tennis and days out in Weston or Bristol. We require a person-centred and consistent approach to care, as the main objective of this home is to move our service users on to less intensive supported housing. Requirements Minimum of 9 months experience within the health and social care sector The energy and enthusiasm to work in a busy and challenging environment PIT training or similar A confident and calming influence Experience and/or training in challenging behaviour Notes Competitive rates of pay £9.00 - £10.50 Plus Holiday pay Weekly pay Hourly accrued holiday pay Free mandatory training Free specialist training courses to help with career progression Flexible hours that suit your needs A 24hr 365 days of the year on-call support team
