Job Title: Java Developer Location: Duxford Salary: £competitive DOE Hours: Monday - Friday - 37.5 hours Contract Type: Full time, permanent Sector: IT & Scientific An opportunity has arisen for a permanent, full time Java Developer for a scientific company located in Duxford. Do you have experience developing and deploying Java solutions? Are you looking to be part of a quirky company with excellent benefits? Are you familiar with Spring framework? Do you have experience building RESTful web services? As Java Developer you will be responsible for: Development of new components for company platform Developing rapid prototypes Working with customers and partners from inception to completion Testing and documentation Delivering outstanding customer support. An ideal candidate for the Java Developer must have: Experience developing and deploying Java solutions Experience using RESTful web services Familiarity with Spring framework Ability to design and build unit-tested, modular code Knowledge of Agile software development process and unit testing. Experience of the following would be an advantage: Lucene based search technologies Knowledge of AWS Experience using JavaScript Understanding of scalable architectures An interest in Machine Learning/ AI Outside interest in coding Ideally you will have experience within a similar position.
