You will have a natural ability to build effective relationships and influence key colleagues across the organisation. As part of a small team you will take responsibility for delivering projects with a focus on applications, data, integration and automation. The portfolio will be mixed depending on our business needs and will also include some IT infrastructure and service projects of varying size. The delivery of technology projects through the full life cycle from ideation to review. Engaging with the customer to jointly generate good ideas for value driven technology improvements Exploration of potential solutions Fully costed and justified business case Project initiation documentation and ongoing reporting Project planning and management for both IT and business activities Delivery of specific IT elements You will be multi skilled and capable of adapting to work as each initiative and phase requires. This will include business analysis, research, design, implementation, coaching, training and support. Equally at home with complex projects and senior stakeholder management, understanding end-users, and communicating effectively with IT engineering teams and 3rd parties. The Project Lead will also work with the IT Business manager to identify business "needs" and efficiency opportunities that can be realised though digital transformation. This requires engagement with Partners, Stakeholders and Line Managers to understand and discuss current operating methodologies, challenge established thinking and identify opportunity for change. All proposals made to the IT Director must be costed with an ROI and SMART measures. The role will be varied due to the growing nature of our business. Reporting Lines Reports to: IT Business Manager Direct Reports: None Stakeholders: IT Contacts, Partners, Other Central functions Main Responsibilities Manage end to end life cycle of projects, including both the IT and business components Facilitate Project Definition Workshops and produce Project Initiation documents Project administration and reporting Ensure seamless service transition including relevant documentation Fully manage the technical, operational and business change elements of each project Be the champion of good project management practise across the IT team and wider firm, working with the IT Business Manager to improve the quality of delivery and associated processes All projects should be delivered to time, cost and quality with any expected variances reported promptly Regularly research technology solutions to our business problems and prepare succinct business cases that offer cost effective improvements Provide coaching of project management principles and process to the IT Team and business colleagues as requested Assist the IT Business Manager with reviewing existing technology investments and identifying opportunities to improve performance and/or reduce cost Ensure that a professional, courteous and proactive IT service is always delivered to our customers Ensure that all projects achieve their defined success criteria and that any ROI proposed is measured and delivered General duties Ensure that written work is delivered to a continual high standard and that all the appropriate firm policies for document release are adhered to Ensure that all information is kept secure and not disclosed inappropriately Ensure that the operations under your management and control sustain the appropriate level of quality assurance standards Accept additional responsibilities as specifically requested by the IT Business Manager Ensure you always project a professional image To comply with, and ensure that your staffs comply with, all required firm procedures To carry out your duties in accordance with the firm’s Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety policies at all times To maintain high standards of quality of work, personal presentation and personal conduct To hold a valid driving licence Reporting and administrative duties Individual project and portfolio reporting Procurement within agreed Project budgets with approval of line manager Financial responsibilities and authority limits Decision Making Parameters Business plans and IT Strategy Policies and procedures Own initiative Delegation Project and Systems Analyst (As agree with IT Business Manager) Qualification and Essential Skills Qualifications: A recognised project management certification, Prince 2, Agile or PMP or equivalent. Essential skills: 3 years’ experience managing technology projects in a similar environment Exposure to applications, data or integration and the associated principles Skilled in the creation and delivery of customer focused presentations and communications Experience working within an IT Managed Service (outsourced) environment A good general knowledge of end user technologies, e.g. PC’s, Audio Visual, Mobile Phones, Telephone systemsA broad understanding of technology and
