Pay: MPS – UPS Start Date: September 2020 River Mill is looking to recruit a SENCo, initially for two days per week to join our new primary school in Dartford. This will become a full-time post in 2021-22. The salary will be Fringe MPS or UPS SEN Point £4,359 The successful candidate will have: Qualified teacher status National Award for SEN Co-ordination, or a willingness to complete it within 3 years of appointment Experience teaching pupils with a range of SEND needs including severe and complex needs Experience of working at a whole-school level Involvement in self-evaluation and development planning Experience of conducting training/leading INSET Line management responsibilities for individual support assistants Sound knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice Understanding of what makes ‘quality first’ teaching, and of effective intervention strategies Ability to plan and evaluate interventions Data analysis skills, and the ability to use data to inform provision planning Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build effective working relationships If you would like to see our school before applying, please call the School Office on 01322 466 975 to arrange a tour.
