An opportunity has arisen to join the Paediatric Occupational Therapy team based at the Children’s Centre, Dewsbury & District Hospital. The Occupational Therapists are an integral part of the multi-disciplinary Paediatric Therapy team, and although based at the Children’s Centre, the post also involves working in local schools/ nurseries, and client’s home. The caseload is varied and you will work closely with a variety of experienced Therapists, within a friendly, supportive and well established team, as well as liaising with family members and other professionals/agencies. We are looking to recruit a qualified Occupational Therapist with experience of working with children between 0 and 16 years, many of whom have complex needs and attend either mainstream or special school/nursery. The postholder must have excellent communication and organisational skills, and must be able to operate as a member of a team. You will act as resource of clinical expertise to junior staff and colleagues from other professions/agencies.
