Additive Manufacturing Engineer

The High Temperature Research Centre (HTRC) is collaboration between the University of Birmingham and Rolls-Royce. The Role The Fast Make Additive Engineer will work within the ceramic additive research team focusing on producing super alloy single crystal blades cast with fast make additive cores You will develop and control the technical aspects of manufacturing methods and documentation for these components and will work with existing cast process owners to maintain traceability and quality You will work with academic and research partners to ensure the relevance and excellence of their activities The Person The ideal candidate for the Fast Make Additive Engineer will have the following: Degree in Engineering of closely related subjects Additive manufacturing, preferably of ceramic materials Structured problem solving methods for high value manufacturing Practical experienced obtained in a manufacturing role within a production environment, including delivery of improvement and/or new product introduction Knowledge and practical use of problem solving and fault finding techniques alongside working within standard quality management systems To apply for the position of Fast Make Additive Engineer please forward an up to date copy of your CV to Rebecca Gibbs This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89857409
