Overview

Our client is a consultancy who meet the small company exemption and the new IR35 Off-Payroll rules will not apply. The successful contractor will continue to determine their own employment status. We are recruiting for a boutique consulting company who partnered with a global client in the finance industry. We would like to speak with SIEM Engineers who are able to identify security gaps and suggest solutions to reduce the risk and impact of cyber threats. You would need to create, document and implement new processes and procedures for the SOC to improve and standardise tasks in accordance with industry best practices. If you can demonstrate experience with the following, please get in touch ASAP for immediate consideration and an initial discussion. Strong understanding and experience of SIEM tools (QRadar, Splunk, ArcSight) Working within a SOC environment Experience with Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Web Proxies, Web Applications, UBA, Penetration Testing Python/ Bash/ Powershell scripting capabilities to develop automation using APIs Knowledge of commonly-accepted information security principles and practices, as well as techniques attackers would use to identify vulnerabilities, gain unauthorised access, escalate privileges and access restricted information (MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP etc.) Experience carrying out internal penetration tests, threat simulations Use of Linux systems and programs Ability to follow AGILE methodologies Excellent communication and reporting skills Contract, 6 months extension | Central London | £400-450 per day | IR35 small business exemption This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89852968
