TSS Solutions are currently recruiting for a FTTH TRAINEE Engineers, on behalf of a contractor within the telent Supply Chain. This role is based working over the Midlands, including South Midlands and Central Midland This role is for candidates with limited or no previous experience in the telecommunications industry who are looking for a career change, or to expand their knowledge on the Openreach Fibre Network. Candidate with no experience will be provided with full training and accreditations awarded. A full weeks training will be given which includes Inductions, an Underground Safety Module, Confined Spaces Training, Underground Cabling Works, and Fibre Jointing. Upon completion of the weeks training, and accreditations awarded you will be provided with a van, fuel card and tools to complete your day to day work. After 3-4 weeks buddying with qualified engineers you should be self sufficient and go out as part of a Fibre Cabling gang, and will be earning as a qualified FTTH Engineer. Key Duties once qualified: •Installation of FTTH Broadband services in residential premises. •Deliver professional and concise customer education. •Self-audit all work and ensure it meets all applicable technical and operational quality standards. •Work efficiently and tidily, maintaining a clean environment and at all times. •Respond effectively and appropriately to all customer requests and enquiries. •Complete work to agreed time scales. •Ensure the use of plant and tools are conducted in a safe manner, meeting the requirements for operation of the specific equipment. •Testing and working on the underground network •Rod and roping •Climbing poles to hang CBT’s, and working on the overhead network •PON builds Ideal experienced candidates to have: •Hold NRSWA Unit 2 •Any past telecoms experience will be utilised. •Driving license •Ability to work in a team •Keen to learn and progress Salary is dependent on experience and at the supplier’s discretion This is for a long-term contract, and available for immediate start date.
