This client unit consists of supported living in a single site designed for adults with autism and learning disabilities who have various needs. A purpose-built accommodation that helps people with complex learning disabilities to live with as much independence and autonomy as possible. Sympathetically designed both inside and out to give residents even more choice and control in how their support is delivered. The community based accommodation enables people with learning difficulties to live independently in their own space with the reassurance that care support is on hand 24/7. Support workers are committed to enabling the people they support to live the lives they want; lives which are fulfilling, meaningful and happy. This could be day to day support including medicine, community help like shopping, activities like cinema, undertaking hobbies and interests or working alongside them in the communal areas. What is the job? A Learning disabilities Support worker is essential to work every day to help all residents live a dignified and meaningful life. The job requires the highest of standards, bags of passion while always considering the resident’s choices, their views and respecting their independence. Hours could be a mix of shifts between 7am to 10pmand include straight long day shifts. There will be one sleep over shift a week that will include enhancements and bonus payment. This role does require car drivers who have held their license for a year. If work in the local community is required access to a pool car will be provided. What we are looking for?
