The company specialises in active temperature-controlled deliveries to hospitals, pharmacies, wholesalers and medical care surgeries as well as to end patients which it serves through its homecare business. Its customers include some of the best known pharmaceutical brands in the world. We are delighted to offer the role of Pharmacist to join our newly created in house Pharmacy based in Tamworth. Our Pharmacist will be required to ensure the clinically and legally accurate supply of all dispensed medication in accordance with the GPhC standards and Responsible Pharmacist regulations. Working 37.5 hours per week between the hours of 0800 and 1800, you must be flexible and prepared to work additional hours as and when required to meet our service requirements which may be of an urgent medical nature. You will assist and support the training and development of our Dispensary Assistants and nuture an environment of good practice. To be successful for the role you will lead by example to create a Pharmacy environment that always works to best practice and delivers excellent medicine management, you will demonstrate high levels of professional expertise whilst advocating a strong team collaborative approach, supporting the team to deliver care that helps improve the service provided to end users based upon empathy, respect and dignity. The Pharmacy is newly established and we are looking for a Pharmacist who can adapt to change and support rapidly growing needs of the business. Key responsibilities: · Compliance with the Clinical Governance framework including all key elements, Patient and Public involvement; Clinical Audit programme; Risk Management; Clinical effectiveness; staffing and staff management; use of information and premises standards · Provide Day to Day Management support and nurture the development of the talent within the Pharmacy. · Must ensure the final accuracy check on all dispensed prescriptions is completed by the appropriately trained personnel · Must ensure adherence to the Responsible Pharmacist regulations · Must ensure competence of dispensing team, providing any training as required. · Maintain and comply with all pharmacy SOP’s · Ensure that all errors and near misses are logged and actions put in place to rectify and prevent reoccurrence · Complete required CPD and remain up to date with current pharmacy practice · Must ensure all prescriptions are dispensed within required timescales · Must ensure correct temperature maintenance of all medications during storage, dispensing and delivery · Provide informed responses to all drug related queries to both internal and external enquiries. · Comply with all GPhC published standards · Complete all Pharmacovigilence activities within the required timelines Skills: · Required to use professional knowledge to make difficult decisions · Must be able to influence others, both internally and externally · Must maintain a clear patient focus · Leadership skills · Team player Specialist Knowledge: · Registered Pharmacist · CPD compliant · Therapy specific focus This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89960336
