Our client, an award-winning provider of power electronic solutions in the Energy, Industrial, Transport and Defence markets, operate from the North East of England but ship worldwide, such is their reputation for quality products and service. To facilitate their ambitious growth strategy, they now seek to appoint a Principal Power Design Electronics Design Engineer, primarily within their Rail and Energy divisions. You'll chiefly be responsible for: The development, analysis and implementation of power electronics hardware and software solutions. Solutions must be in line with project requirements and must be tested and validated before implementation Leading a team of multi-skilled power electronics design team in the technical execution of one or more projects Supporting the Chief Engineer regarding planning and testing and also work alongside testing and production teams in relation to implementation and design Involvement with drawing, printed circuit board development and onsite installation and commissioning of equipment You'll almost certainly be educated with a Master's Degree, ideally even to PhD level in a related field, bring significant design and test experience of power electronic converters and be well versed in the use of simulation tools such as Matlab and/or Simulink.
