Overview
Our client , an award winning law firm, is a trusted adviser and partner to many of the UK 's leading retail names and it now seeks to appoint a Liability Claims Handler as part of its continued growth and desire to provide an outstanding outsourced liability claims handling service for its trusted partners. Handling a caseload of pre-litigated, injury based, EL and PL claims you’ll be responsible for proactively conducting a strong defence where appropriate on all claims from initial first advice to settlement or litigation. Within this varied role you’ll handle all claims within industry protocol and procedure and will negotiate quantum and liability while pursing recovery of losses where appropriate. Strong communication and negotiation skills are key as you’ll be in regular communication with claimants, clients and claims experts. To succeed in this role, you will have gained demonstrable experience of handling defendant Employers and Public Liability claims gained within either an Insurer, Fee Earning or TPA background. You will have the ability to allocate accurate reserves and provide accurate claims reports too. In return, you will be rewarded with a highly competitive basic salary of c£24,000 and an attractive benefits package.
