Overview

This role sits within the data & technology arm of our business, specifically within the Marketing Cloud team. We delivers large scale back end database solutions & implements multi-channel campaign management applications such as Adobe Campaign, IBM’s WCA and Salesforce Marketing Cloud which are generally hosted and managed by a team of Service Delivery, Campaign Management and email experts. We provide web services around these solutions, integration to web sites, back office systems and deliver anything from simple email templates to more complex website & digital applications as well as standalone tactical digital communication programs in support of our Creative & Media Agency. Within the Marketing Cloud team we need someone who will be responsible for working with our clients to help design, develop and deliver Marketing Cloud solutions and support our clients and campaign users. The right person will be a keen doer, willing to turn their hand to try new things, client facing and driven to be expert in their field in Marketing Cloud solutions from an administrative/technical perspective. This is a technical role not a role for a campaign user or super user, this is about having the technical ability under the cover of the software to ensure applications are implemented optimally to perform and maintained. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Implement and configure campaign management applications Provide technical support for existing clients and users of campaign applications Continued development of existing marketing cloud solutions be these new modules, configuration changes, upgrades or integrations to other third party software or data source feeds Provision of estimates for: o New implementations of campaign software o Changes to configurations or new modules to be deployed o Integrations of campaign applications with other solutions o Addition/changes to new feeds o Software upgrades Ensuring an up to date knowledge of latest releases of software available and how these will impact client installations to perform effective upgrades Support and work collaboratively with, team managers across areas of design, development, quality assurance and operations Ensure all software developments and implementations are accurately documented and kept up to date Be prepared to travel (when needed) to work with client services and service delivery (campaign user) team at other offices or client site, also prepared to work outside core hours (09.00 - 17.30) when required Attend client meetings if required to discuss and demonstrate solutions at both technical and business level SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Very strong AMPScript and Server side Javascript skills with knowledge of when to utilize each SQL Data manipulation and data flow within the platform Experienced with all out of the box modules Familiar with Salesforce APIs Ability to write efficient, scalable and reusable code Generally strong technical background HTML / CSS skills Ability to work your way through and debug critical issues that may sometimes have little documentation and reference points using: o Scripting o Unit testing o Database skills Familiar with: o Platform architecture o Documenting development o FTP Have experience of working on client projects from scoping to development and ongoing support Managing client expectations Used to working directly with Campaign and Creative colleagues in an iterative fashion and working in a small team Knowledge of AWS / Azure an advantage EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS Excellent written and verbal communication skills Used to working in a fast-paced environment. Experience of Agile a bonus Ability to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of digital design, information analysis, business analysis, development and QA processes Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and across multiple large-scale projects Computer Science qualification beneficial, but not required Strong interpersonal skills, client facing communication skills, proactively taking responsibility for delivery and expectations management of clients, stakeholders and senior team members Flexible, adaptable, positive "can do" approach, self-disciplined
