Title: Medical Science Liaison Manager Territory: Covering the UK on a national basis Therapy Area: Rare Diseases Salary: Highly competitive salary exceptional benefits on offer Evolve Consultants: Andy Boyd or Claire Handley Ref: 7393 A brand new opportunity has become available with a highly-successful Pharmaceutical company, responsible for managing a team of 5 MSLs across the UK. Essential Requirements Proven experience in a Medical Science Liaison role, ideally with strong management skills (either commercial or MSL management). Demonstrable examples of coaching and managing a team. Advanced Life Sciences/Scientific degree (ideally PhD). Motivated by knowledge and deriving understanding and insight from complex medical or scientific information. Able to work effectively in a cross-functional team. Current driving licence with no more than 6 points. Role Responsibilities Coach, lead and manage a team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSL). Cross functional working with the Rare Disease Business Unit. Disease awareness guidelines. Delivery on local medical strategy. Support central publication plans and ad-board activities. Primary point of contact for Clinicians. Data gathering and insights generation. Investigator Sponsored Studies (ISS). Providing responses to unsolicited requests for medical information. Managing the implementation of the EAP. KOL Development – scientific/educational/clinical. Transition arrangements between paediatrics and adults depending on strength of relationship Defining roles and responsibilities. Awareness and compliance with company Pharmacovigilance and policies. Role Specific Competencies Highly analytical, strong data manipulation and ability to identify trends/patterns. Extensive stakeholder mapping and influencing ability. Clinical, scientific and technical expertise. Strong negotiation skills. Self-motivation with a high degree of initiative.
