Finance Systems Analyst
Overview
I am working with a fantastic client who is looking for a Finance Systems Analyst to join them. As a Finance Systems Analyst you will carry out and maintain the administrative functions of the finance system. Assisting the Finance systems manager in process enhancements and system integrations. Being able to recognize and improve existing finance processes using current technologies. Role: Finance Systems Analyst Contract: Monday – Friday ,12-month Fixed Term Location: Manor Royal, Gatwick Responsibilities Carry out the daily and periodic admin tasks in the new Finance System (SAP Business By Design), ranging from month end procedures to error solving. Assist with any system changes or enhancements and subsequent testing. Help to develop appropriate reporting using the finance system and/or Excel. Liaising with our System implementation partners. Support the improvement and development of existing finance processes; promoting current technologies and best practice to achieve this. Maintaining and addressing the finance system email inbox Understand and operate the escalations procedures Assisting Finance colleagues and the wider business with data requirements, reporting and improved efficiencies using the BYD system. Experience, Knowledge and Skills The jobholder should have a good all-round financial awareness and an understanding of basic accounting principles, preferably gained in a finance environment or possibly studying towards an accountancy qualification. They should have a solid background in, and understanding of, data and data relationships. A good working knowledge of ERP solutions or a comprehensive Finance package, especially SAPByDesign would be advantageous. The candidate would expect to be able to follow through an end to end process within the system. The candidate should be able to work on their own initiative and be fully prepared to challenge proposals that have a direct effect on the Finance system. They will also be required to communicate with and influence the wider finance team to identify and improve existing processes. An advanced level of IT literacy is essential and particularly, the following is desirable: Advanced Excel Power Query (aka Get and Transform) Basic understanding of databases ERP experience Travel is not generally expected, possible visits to London Office.
