Overview

Office Administrator Apprentice Purpose of the Role To provide effective and efficient administration support to the estimating and contracts team. Ensure administration tasks are performed in an efficient and timely manner. Work towards and complete Level 2 Business Administration Diploma. To act as receptionist during breaks, for holiday and sickness cover. Key Roles and Responsibilities Operations Ensure all documents are filed accurately on a continuous/regular basis to ensure easy retrieval. Ensure photocopying is undertaken as requested. To distribute and send post when required. Supporting other functions as required. To carry out the timely completion and delivery of quotations, decline letters and emails for Improvement Engineer. systems. (Training will be provided for all of the above) Customer To provide reception cover as and when required to include meeting and greeting visitors in a polite and courteous manner and to answer the telephone and take messages as appropriate. To send and distribute post internally and externally. Deal with internal and external enquires over the phone and verbally. (Training will be provided for all of the above) Finance Maintain an appropriate level of stationery supplies for office to include checking stock levels and placing orders with suppliers negotiating best price for supplies. (Training will be provided for all of the above) Experience/Skills/Qualifications/Personal Attributes Minimum GCSE grades of C and above in English and Maths (or equivalent). IT literate including Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Ability to work in high pressured environments and to tight deadlines. Self-starter able to work autonomously and as part of a team. Desirable Good written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience in an administration or document control role. Personal Attributes Flexibility, to be able to carry out duties not part of the normal remit in the interests of the team. Outgoing and friendly, good communication skills. Team worker, well organised and efficient. Apprentice - £4.15 per hour - 9 - 5 pm (Mon - Thursday, Friday 9 - 4 pm)
