Multi Skilled Joiner - FRA Works Residential Housing Leeds - West Yorkshire Here at Howells we are currently working with a leading Social Housing contractor to recruit a NVQ qualified Joiner to join their team based in Leeds. We are looking for a qualified and competent Multi-Trade Joiner with solid experience working on fire doors. The Multi-skilled Trades person is responsible for the installation, inspection and maintenance of fire doors across west Yorkshire in apartment blocks, care homes, hospitals This role involves carrying out maintenance tasks in communal areas involving a wide selection of skills including carpentry, dry lining, painting and decorating. Working closely with the Contracts Manager, the successful candidate will ensure the correct resources are available to undertake work on the appointed date and to resolve all issues once. The Role: Undertake planned Fire Risk Assessments, installations, replacements to ire doors plus remedial work with respect to all the trades; carpentry, painting, dry lining etc. and any other duties as directed by the manager Ability to remain calm and collected when faced with difficult customers, and situations, so a high level of personal integrity and respect for others is essential. Ability to communicate accurately. Plan and carry out work in a safe, cost effective manner. Ensure that Health and Safety is followed and site regulations are adhered to The Person: Have a proven track record in carpentry and joinery, ideally relating to passive fire safety Be passionate about the quality of your work Have a positive attitude towards Health & Safety, your colleagues and customers Have good communication skills Ideal Candidates will have SVQ or NVQ (L2) Passive Fire Protection or FIRAS Certification Valid, in date CSCS ticket Experience with Fire Protection, Fire Doors, Minimum qualification of NVQ level 2 or equivalent in joinery Full UK driving licence Salary and Benefits: You will be working for a modern, forward thinking business; that believes the strengths, skills and personalities of their people are the key to the groups success.
