Look no further than Ward G2 As the Healthier Together plans continue across Greater Manchester the Oldham Care Organisation is planned to play a crucial role and the Royal Oldham Hospital has been identified as a red/hub hospital for the area. The hospital has a full accident and emergency department and offers a comprehensive range of acute and general surgical services, including vascular surgery. The site also offers more specialist services including clinical haematology, gynaecological services to patients in North East Manchester and is one of only three Tertiary neonatal units in the area. Ward G2 is looking to recruit a current NMC Registered Band 5 Staff Nurses to join an enthusiastic team committed to delivering the highest standard of care to our patients. This is a 25 bedded mixed ward, caring for a range of patients with gastroenterology needs based on our Royal Oldham Hospital site. Our Commitment to You Becoming a part of this team will allow you the chance to gain a variety of transferable skills such as complex antibiotic and cytotoxic drug regimens, caring for both acute and chronic health conditions including longstanding liver and bowel conditions, pre and post endoscopy care for elective and emergency admissions. Your Contribution to the Team We are looking for equally enthusiastic and energetic individuals who are keen to learn, willing to work together as a team but are self-motivated and can work independently when needed. You will be a professional who truly understands the need for care, consideration and respect for our patients but can also apply these qualities to your team members. Gastroenterology experience is desirable for this post; however an interest in this speciality is essential. Full in house training will be given form ward staff and speciality nurses who deliver training on the ward weekly. This area is both rewarding and challenging caring for some of the most complex patients in the trust, where empathy and understanding is required to support patients with life changing diagnosis.
