Legal Secretary - Float - Winchester A reputable and respected Law firm Play a vital role in the everyday workings of the firm Central Winchester location Your new company Recognised as one of the UK’s leading national law firms, this business focuses on building long lasting and meaningful relationships with their clients. Their success is measured by the first-class services each and every client receives both nationally and internationally. Your new role As a float secretary you will be involved in the everyday workings of the firm in supporting legal professionals across the family, private client, property and litigation department. Your duties will include: Providing a timely word processing service for the creating and amendment of document using Word, Excel, Workshare etc. Ensuring document that are returned to the lawyers are accurate by proof reading document, spell checking, grammar, amendments and presentation. Being a point of contact for Lawyers in their absence as required. Supporting the billing process as well as answering any simple client questions. File management and handling confidential documents when scanning copying. Updating team procedures and providing detailed handover notes as required. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role you will need to be adaptable and resilient with a professional demeanour. This will be accompanied by 5 GCSEs including maths and English at grade C or above. You will also need: A proven ability to perform under pressure whilst being self-motivated and able to use initiative. Have good knowledge of Word and outlook including formatting skills. Have secretarial qualification such as RSA, Pitmans or a recognised secretarial dipolar. Proven experience working as a secretary in a legal environment.
