Overview
Working in a constant changing, dynamic, fast paced and diverse environment, this role combines variety of external reporting responsibilities. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, this role will produce cyclical financial reporting statements for a number of stakeholders, including external audit, group external reporting and group tax. Client Details You'll join a fast-paced, international business where no two days are ever the same Description Review of the US GAAP ledgers, on quarterly basis, for the UK statutory entities for unusual transactions or transactions in areas of potential GAAP differences US GAAP vs. local GAAP (FRS 101) Identification & quantification of local GAAP adjustments for each entity, recording of these in an extended trial balance i.e. to achieve a local GAAP trial balance High level analytics of P&L and Balance Sheet under local GAAP following preparation of local GAAP trial balance. Submission of analytics, reserves roll and GAAP adjustments, and follow up of any outstanding items/queries Discussion of GAAP adjustments & local GAAP trial balance with tax teams for tax accounting & further support as needed Preparation and support in the audit of financial statements for UK statutory entities. Including liaising with various stakeholder to understand the transactions and provide supporting documents to external auditors Preparation of annual statutory accounts Preparation and submission of Office of National Statistic Surveys Review on data provided for the Corporate Responsibility report Profile A professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) Ideally post-qualified experience within Financial Accounting and/or Audit - ideally in a large complex organisation Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS Strong excel and financial systems skills (e.g. Oracle, Hyperion/HFM) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to coach and develop others Experience of working in a complex environment, delivering to deadlines Researches into emerging / complex accounting or reporting issues Job Offer You will have the opportunity to work in a place you'll feel welcomed and supported from day one, but you can expect to be challenged.
