Locum Pharmacy Technician
Overview
The Company My client is a global leading provider and manufacturer of healthcare solutions. Due to the increased demand for work, they are looking for multiple Locum Pharmacy Technicians to join their Hospital Care unit in the Aseptic Production Department. Important to note: These roles will be moving very fast and they are aiming to get Pharmacy Technicians onboarded ASAP. Please do not apply if you are not GPhC registered. The Opportunity As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the homecare pharmacists in the day to day formulation, dispensing, ordering and supply of products for homecare patients and management of the pharmacy. You will also be dispensing and checking medicinal products from the Pharmacy, e.g, Prescriptions, TPN and Haemodialysis. Activities will include: Setting/checking homecare PN formulations and prescriptions, liaising with referring prescribers as appropriate. Supporting the Lead Pharmacist with the maintenance of the pharmacy system, procedures and staff training. Supporting the team in handling the day-to-day queries and issues. Contributing to on-going quality improvement eg. Reporting of errors, near-misses, complaints and incidents. Participation in in-house training. Ensuring reports from customers relating to product quality complaints or adverse drug reactions are documented and the essential minimum information is collected and forwarded to the Regulatory Affairs Department the same day they are received. About You To apply for this role, you should demonstrate: BTEC NC Pharmacy Services/NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy services or equivalent Registration with GPhC Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) or equivalent Knowledge of GMP Ideally aseptic manufacture and or dispensing of Parenteral Nutrition and Intravenous Additives.
