Design Engineer

A global leader with over 100 years' experience, specialising with manufacturing sites in Dubai, Thailand and India and offices in nine countries are looking for a Design Engineer to join the engineering team in Thame. Design Engineers often have to think on their feet and excel not just technically but also in your ability to collaborate with your colleagues. More than other engineers, you take the lead in making engineering decisions that deliver solutions to customer real needs. You should be an advocate for engineering excellence with attention to detail. Design components and build assemblies in a 3D environment Use a PLM system (Team Center) to collate your data. Generate drawings and bills of materials for our production facilities Create new options to meets our customers' needs from Sales and Marketing data Provide engineering support to all engineering departments, production facilities, customers and suppliers. Able to Interpret customer requirements and internal specifications and produce a detailed design using 3D CAD (NX Unigraphics would be preferable). Delivering drawings and bills of material to the factory and customers Liaison with customers, sales, contracts and global operations staff to deliver customer requirements within timescales, budgets and operations constraints Produce new designs and support them through production and customer FAT Work with global manufacturing on urgent issues regarding design and production to produce solutions to everyday problems Thrive in a high pressure and developing environment. The ability to continuously improve standards & quality of the department.
