Salary: from £42,500 per annum when working full time (35 hours a week)? Significant experience of project management, ideally gained in a software or data services environment Experience of working alongside customers, scrum teams, internal and 3rd party technical experts, software developers, infrastructure specialists and data engineers Proven and successful track record of working on a variety of different projects, including at least two of the following: Projects to configure corporate systems Customer facing projects Data integration projects Infrastructure projects Ability to understand the data structures and specifications required to support data services Experience of working on multiple concurrent projects, tracking progress and ensuring outputs are delivered on time and to budget Ability to tailor Agile scrum and waterfall approaches to the type of project being undertaken, including the use of Jira and Confluence to support project delivery Experience of setting up project templates, authoring project documentation and reports, and managing project risks Experience of line managing other people, such as project managers, business analysts and project support employees About the role? Although this role will be based at one of our offices, we are happy to consider a range of flexible working arrangements including some time spent working from home. The Senior data project manager will lead the project management function in the directorate and educate?and coach staff on best-practice, champion the implementation of project management standards and project governance arrangements, and guide staff on project planning and resource management. The Senior data project manager will also work closely with other directorate staff to implement Agile scrum to the agreed Jisc standard. This role will line manage at least one data project manager. The number of direct reports is likely to increase as the directorate grows. The Senior data project manager will oversee a wide range of projects including: Internal projects to configure corporate systems, such as SharePoint and SalesForce/RemedyForce, as well as projects to cleanse and migrate data from legacy systems. Customer facing projects, for example developing on-boarding plans for new customers and working with them on user acceptance testing of new products and features. Data integration projects, supporting the data engineering team to build and test data integrations with other systems and data sources. About us?
