Role Summary You’ll play a significant role for one of our London based public sector clients and join our wider UK&I team of experienced technical architects You’ll work closely with the client and DXC delivery teams to understand the current landscape and help identify and develop opportunities to stabilize and transform. You’ll help solve a wide range of challenging problems for the client, employing a range of capabilities such as traditional infrastructure, Cloud platforms, Automation, Mobile and Workplace. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Design technical solutions, selecting necessary platforms and technologies to meet project requirements and user needs Provide technical guidance to both internal and external teams, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose, whilst meeting time and budget constraints Enable the reuse of patterns, tools and components across the whole service landscape Essential Skills/Qualifications: Good communication skills including excellent written skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Up to date knowledge of relevant technologies Good knowledge of quality standards, legislation and best practice Ability to adapt and prioritise Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, with appropriate resolution Self-Starter with perseverance Strong solution development in infrastructure architecture Eligible for CTC clearance Willingness to travel to client locations Desirable experience in several of the following areas: Hosting Environments - Physical and Virtualized compute platforms Windows Server (2012 and above) Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x Web and middleware (on virtual and physical platforms) O365 (Sharepoint, Teams, Intune etc) End User Devices (desktop, laptops, tablets) Windows XP, 8.1, 10 and WaaS VMware EMC Storage – XtremeIO, VNX, Unity MS SQL Server MS IIS MS Active Directory and ADFS DNS MS Exchange System Management tooling Packaging applications for Windows via SCCM, and for RHEL via BigFix MS Clustering Azure Hosting Automation DXC Technology is committed to the development of a fully inclusive workforce.
