If that resonates with you, join us Who are we looking for: We are looking for a tech savvy individual to establish and streamline VAT procedures that ensure compliance across EMEA is in a good phase. This will include preparing, reviewing and submitting VAT and other related returns. You will collaborate with the Global Director of VAT to help disclosures towards the tax authorities for historic issues and VAT/Intrastat audits (including data analytics). Role and Duties: · You will prepare, review and submit European VAT returns and related filings such as Annual VAT Returns, EC Sales List and Intrastat returns. · Drive and review of month-end account reconciliations, VAT vs GL reconciliations, Sales/Purchase reconciliation, VAT vs EC Sales vs Intrastat reconciliation for Pall EMEA HQ entity. · Help map out VAT processes and identify areas for optimizing and streamlining including introduction of an indirect tax control framework and data analytics capability to ensure a robust VAT compliance process is in place. · Support Real-time Reporting projects in EMEA. · Drive projects to implement improvements etc · Encourage the roll out a VAT training packs for the business and maintaining EMEA VAT Compliance webpage on Pall Connect. Qualifications/ Experience/Characteristics: · EMEA VAT experience from previous roles in both advisory and compliance. · Experience with German VAT and complex supply chain scenarios is advantageous. · ACA/CTA/ATT qualified or part-qualified preferable but not essential. · Excellent knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence tools (eg MS Excel, Qlik View) essential. · Excellent working knowledge of SAP essential. · Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to explain complex VAT requirements in a non-technical manner to non-Finance associates and the ability to work well in a team. · Analytical attitude, process understanding, open for innovative approaches and ideas. · Aptitude to think and act quickly within a dynamic tax and business environment. · Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize multiple projects, tasks, and strict deadlines. · Capable of taking ownership and accountability for a project from start to finish.
