JOB AD: Job Summary: The main responsibility of this position is to architect high-performance, lower power CPU for mobile platforms like smart phones and tablets. Your work may include: Key Responsibilities: The main responsibility of this position is to architect high-performance, lower power CPU for mobile platforms like smart phones and tablets. Your work may include: -Build CPU performance model from popular mobile applications and workloads -Analyze workloads and performance bottlenecks, identify requirements for CPU architecture, compiler and software algorithms -Work with micro-architecture and RTL team to define CPU features and make trade-offs between power, performance and area appropriately -Guide the development of tools and simulation environment to increase productivity of CPU performance analysis Person Specification: List details of Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications needed to do the job: Required: -Good Understanding of CPU architecture and micro-architecture -Familiar with the ARM architecture and the micro-architecture of current ARM CPU cores -Experience in performance model development -Proficient in C/C++ and scripting languages such as Perl and Python -Good collaboration and communication skills -Travel to Beijing and Shanghai sites may be required -Good presentation and internal customer interaction skills Desired: -M.S. or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science -Experience in performance tuning on Android and Linux -Knowledge of operating system and compiler technology What my client offer: -25 days annual leave per annum, pro rata, plus 8 UK Public Holidays -Competitive Group Personal Pension Scheme and life cover (subject to age and earnings) -Private medical insurance and Medical Expense Claim Scheme -24/7 Employee Assistance Program -Opportunity for training and development -Flexible working -Free onsite parking This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89900834
