Overview
Product Engineer (Design) Exeter Monday to Friday 37.5 hours a week Circa £35,000 per annum 28 Days Holiday Bank Holidays Pension Product Engineer required for a growing and highly reputable business. This is a great opportunity for a product engineer take full ownership of a product and see the design process through to manufacture and assembly. You will also gain experience in a growing industry. To apply for this role, you will have previous experience of working in a mechanical design role. You will have experience of working with ANY CAD system and have knowledge of a variety of materials. Candidates with experience working with Creo within a production/ manufacturing environment are encouraged to apply although this isn’t an essential requirement. Your role will be to see the process through from conception to manufacture and work to create BOMs as well as liaising with suppliers. Majority of the work will be re-modification design work, but there will be more opportunity to develop designs from scratch as well. As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of hardware designs from prototype through to production. You will also design, build and test components and systems (can sometimes be required in the field) that lead to reliable and cost-effective solutions. You will continue to progress these designs into a product fit for large-scale production. This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in innovation and to work in a multi-disciplined team. You will be able to to contribute to the design and development of state-of-the-art products and play a crucial role within a small up and coming business. The Role: Mechanical Design using Creo. Designing from scratch as well as modification. Creating manufacturing drawings and BOMs. Liaising with clients and suppliers. The Product Engineer: Experience of designing with a variety of materials. Experience using Creo beneficial however not essential.
