Overview
A brilliant new exclusive opportunity has been signed off today in Sheffield for a Senior Developer for a really exciting Digital Health company that's currently on a super charged journey of growth in the UK. Since 2007, the company has been providing their innovative health screening services to the NHS and private clients which help engage patients, streamline delivery, reduce turnaround times and cut costs. Growing to over 50 staff today, the current systems are not fit for purpose for the company’s growth plans, and therefore there is an immediate need to grow its technical capability in order to exploit further significant opportunities through the use of more modern and innovative technology solutions. The company has recently received a huge investment with a focus on building out the tech team to enable international growth, and as the 3rd hire within this new team, you will have the opportunity to shine and make a real difference. THE ROLE: Senior Developer Working closely with the Principal Developer, we are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Developer, a key hire to help transform the current technology stack & environment from old school monolithic into a new modern microservices architecture. Having the freedom to make a real difference, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading the build of the company's next generation platforms and web services (.net core, microservices), migrate the old legacy codebase to these new platforms, whilst also continuing to focus on delivering and enhancing the customer experience (B2C & B2B). PERSON First and foremost, we are looking for a passionate Senior Full Stack Developer with a history of working on enterprise level applications and websites and exposure/experience to complex architectures ideally event-driven, microservices or native cloud. You will be highly focused on delivery, always looking to adopt a cloud first approach, while at the same time assisting the Principal Lead Developer in driving & building a super charged development team. To be considered, you will need to offer experience in: • Re-platforming an estate from monolithic to a microservice based architecture (old legacy into modern technology) • Adopting a cloud first approach (AWS or Azure) • Fully distributed & event driven solutions • Tech: .net core, API, Microservices, Javascript (React/Angular), C# plus an understanding of VB.NET, ASP.NET, Winforms and Webforms would be advantageous but not essential. • Implementing and working within an TDD & Agile environment • Introducing and working within code quality standards • Championing automated build and deployment with continuous integration NEXT STEPS If you think you're suitable for this role, please get in touch asap.
