Overview

Are you an experienced Fabric Engineer, seeking your next job in the Facilities Management Sector? My client has an immediate opportunity for a Fabric Engineer to join their team on an initial interim basis The successful applicant will provide fabric engineering support to a small Engineering Team delivering Planned Preventive and Reactive building services maintenance to meet operational and client demands. A flexible work approach will be required as the position requires you to work with in an established team to assist with other engineering duties. Responsibilities Ensure all maintenance techniques are relevant to business focused maintenance, best practice and statutory requirements (working to sfg20) Good practical hands on experience of repair and maintenance of internal and external building fabric structures and fittings Identifies and suggests continuous improvement projects. Undertakes maintenance procedures, regular checks and routine inspections in conjunction with the maintenance team. Reports upon poor performing assets and present engineering solutions. Ensures all work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety procedures and processes. Maintain and review all stock levels and consumables Assists with recording, and maintaining legislative documentation along with the completion of electronic planned and reactive work requests on the CAFM system. Able to undertake, support, and record compliance engineering tasks (legionella prevention, emergency lighting etc) Undertakes hazard reporting for the work area. Must be prepared to undertake any reasonable request from their line manager Requirements: Flexibility, being prepared to go the extra mile for the client Must have an open honest persona Demonstrable experience of innovation and maintenance best practice Recognised trade apprenticeship (Fabrication, Carpentry) Have experience of working within a team Good communication skills Must be willing to work additional paid overtime and be part of a callout rota Customer focused client facing Good IT skills Holds a clean driving licence To apply, please submit a CV or call Sam Studley on Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
