Overview
Commodity Manager of Electrical and Electronic Category for a Global transportation brand. Covering a wide variety of solutions across raw materials, signalling use, service delivery and implementation and traffic management. This global company has been at the forefront of innovation within transport and with a consistently expanding market share this company is looking to further improve their innovation, quality and technological leadership. Your new role As a Category Manager you will be responsible for the Electrical & Electronic category ensuring that you are setting in place procurement plans in line with agreed category strategy / plans and executing projects accordingly. Given the responsibility to enhance the Category Strategy and see process' through from Sourcing stage and assessing potential suppliers for the portfolio all the way to contract drafting, implementation and management. What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed within this position, previous exposure within a Commodity Management position or Category Management position of materials would be required (Flexible with Industry). A candidate that can easily negotiate with suppliers for all contractual provisions. Working knowledge with SAP, PIR or Contract management software required. An articulate understanding of Contract law, contract drafting across different products and services along-side excellent Microsoft Package skills. Beneficial but not pivotal requirements include a Degree level education and/or CIPS Qualification. What you'll get in return In return for your commitment to this brand, you will be rewarded with a salary package dependent on experience ranging from £45,000 - £50,000, The opportunity for International travel as/when required.
