Java Developer // £50,000 - £80,000 // Camden, London If you have a polyglot mindset to build Open-Source tools to solve complex problems at scale, then do not hesitate in applying Working within a collaborative and ambitious team dedicated to the 'why’ and 'how’ platforms are engineered; you will be instrumental in guiding the vision and evolution for the already award-winning system. Already being used across AI, IoT, Life Sciences, Hyper-Personalisation, and Big Data, this open-source platform will see you gain recognition not only across the GitHub and Stackoverflow communities, but the problems you will be solving will encourage new ways of thinking across the worldwide engineering community. If you are striving for a position where you can be self-sufficient, influence a platform and work with Product, Engineering and Business teams to ensure aspects are at the forefront of innovation, then do not hesitate in applying Requirements: Exposure to building Open-Source tools or platforms (can be in personal projects) Solid programming experience in OOP Languages either Java, Python, Scala or C++ Knowledge building multithreading or parallel programs Cloud Architecture with AWS including EC2, Lambda, S3 Experience working at Scale on resilience, reliability and vision of platforms - spanning multiple repositories CI/CD, TDD, Pair Programming and similar environments Bonus points: Interest in High Performance Data/Algorithms Polyglot mindset - using the tools at hand to solve problems at scale Core Technical Stack within the company: Java 8, Microservices, Spring Boot, ReactJS, NodeJS, VueJS, TypeScript, D3.JS, Cassandra, Kafka, Spark, Scala, JanusGraph, Google Cloud, AWS, EC2, Lambda, S3, Git, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, TDD/BDD, RDBS
