Installations and Field Service Engineer - EPOS and Data Cabling / Comms Cab Audit Looking for an experience Field Engineer with a keen eye for detail, own vehicle and good IT and Networking skills to work on a contract across the South Central and South West area. Must be available to start beginning of April. Initially the role is to visit sites and audit the comms cabinets for a large hospitality retailer across all their sites (takes photos and record what equipment is currently installed switches, routers, points on patch panels etc). Must be willing to travel, an ideal central location would be Southampton / Andover, Hampshire / Dorset etc. The initial role will lead to a refresh / standardisation project where we will need IT and basic networking / cabling / Patch Panel skills. Applicants will be required to hold (or be willing to apply for at own cost) a CSCS card. Own suitable vehicle essential. Rate is £145 per day made up of £72.50 per site, 2 sites per day (occasional 3 site days are scheduled). Additional expenses and occasional hotels also paid. You can also receive additional income by accepting service calls. The Audit on test sites has taken around 2-3 hours. Initial Audit Phase is 3 months, refresh expected to be a 1 year plus sign up.
