Overview
Service Desk Engineer | £25,000-30,000 | Liverpool | Permanent Your new company Operating within the logistics and supply chain industry, our clients are well established within the Liverpool area. Your new role As Service Desk Engineer you will be the first point of contact for business IT requirements and issues; being a point of escalation for all Service Desk queries. You will assist in the planning of patching, upgrading, replacements, and testing of all hardware, software and applications and systems. You will take ownership of user incidents by tracking and following them through until completion. You will maintain and manage a schedule of application software & IT services and assist in the roll out and management of the telephony and hardware nationwide. Through the optimisation of group software packages, you will support in the identification of IT improvements and contribute in solutions. What you need to succeed Must have current experience in a Service Desk role and Microsoft environment; being proficient on Active Directory and Office 365 and ideally Mitel telephony. Good communication skills and the ability to build rapport with users and colleagues. Experience in carrying out upgrades, roll outs and fixtures of hardware and software. Ideally, experience on Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure would help you hit the ground running. What you'll get in return A salary of £25,000-30,000, 22 days holiday Bank Holidays (increasing with years of service), 5.5% pension contribution, Bupa private healthcare where you can add 2 family members of for a monthly amount. Working Monday to Friday, with the requirement of working every other weekend, alternating with the 2 other team members (paid overtime in accordance).
